Of Sunspots, Weather and 2012

Here’s food for thought. I just read the quote below in an email notice I receive from spaceweather.com.The first thing that came to mind upon reading it was the fact our weather here on Earth is going pretty crazy as well. Makes me wonder how interrelated one is with the other. Long distance from the sun to Earth, but if we are all interconnected why shouldn’t the planets and other bodies in the universe be interconnected as well?

All the talk of upheaval and renewal in 2012 comes to mind as well.

Radio-Active Sunspot: Huge sunspot AR1476 is crackling with M-class solar flares and appears to be on the verge of producing something even stronger. The sunspot’s ‘beta-gamma-delta’ magnetic field harbors energy for X-class flares, the most powerful kind. Radio operators are recording strong bursts of shortwave static from the sunspot as it turns toward Earth. Visit http://spaceweather.com for sample recordings and forecasts.
